Mortar for saffron 7cm
The most important utensil for saffron - no saffron without a mortar / mortar. This small porcelain bowl has a roughened inner surface and is therefore ideal for pulverizing saffron.
If you crush saffron, you will need less of it or it will be more intense with the same amount. Unroasted saffron should definitely be grated in a mortar. This mortar can be cleaned in the dishwasher.
You can also use it to crush fennel pollen, but it's even easier with a spice grinder. For all other spices, you should use a mortar.
